I’m still down south celebrating Granny’s 100th, visiting with cousins I haven’t seen in years and swapping some great (funny!) old stories.
But I haven’t forgotten you. If anything, I’m more conscious than ever of how important it is to live EVERY day to the max.
So let’s go, shall we?
Here’s a rough draft of my plans for the upcoming season of Secret Adventures. I say rough draft only because I am liable to change my mind if a special opportunity comes along. (I get new ideas all the time…) And all trips are subject to change without notice, though I’ll always do my best to let you know if something changes as soon as I possibly can.
I’m doing this because you’ve asked me to tell you about trips in ADVANCE.
So here’s what I know so far. Make a note of it. :)
Our first Secret Adventure of the year, a LEVEL THREE Adventure, has been announced for NEXT SUNDAY, August 19th. We’re starting the year off with a truly UNIQUE experience, one few people ever get to even try, one that is so much FUN. :) I won’t kid you. This one is a step up in many ways, and will be physically, financially & emotionally more challenging than most of the trips I’ve led so far. It’s requires a greater investment on your part, because it’s requiring a greater investment on MY part. (But girl-oh-girl is it WORTH it!)
I CAN TAKE 3 MORE for this trip. If you’d like to learn more, or to just grab one of those spots – click here. (And I’ve thrown in something extra this time around. Read to the end of that page to find it!)
In September, you’ll get to experience local culture in a way I’ll bet you’ve NEVER seen it before. This will be a Level TWO Adventure, so it should be a fun and easy fit for most, though it could be a little hard on your knees. :) I’m looking at traveling on either Saturday or Sunday, September 15th or 16th. (I’d like to go Sunday afternoon, but have to check on a few details before I can say for sure.)
I get tickled just thinking about this one. You won’t want to miss it – because you’ll have to see it to believe it! (And no, we’re not going to Ripley’s!)
We’re up for an all day trip together in October. I’ve got something beautiful in mind for you. This, like most, will be a Level Two Adventure. And oh my – you’ll come home at the end of this day SO happy, SO refreshed and renewed! Because I want to have PLENTY of time, I’m looking at Saturday, October 20th for our day together. You will WANT to be there, dear ones, that day. We’re ALL in for a treat!
Oh my… On Saturday, November 10th, I’ll be leading you on an adventure where you’ll learn to do something you had NO idea you could do! And this is going to be SUCH a fun trip, a Level ONE – that ANYONE can do. There WILL be a limit to how many I can take, though – so you’ll want to get your name on the list EARLY. But get your smile on – because you’ll be BEAMING before we’re through.
Last year, I had a Thank You Campfire for all the alumni who’d been willing to trust me while I was trying out this crazy new venture. We had a such a lovely time that I’ve decided to make that an annual event. So, on Sunday, December 2, mark your calendars for a Courage Circle. We’ll have a campfire – hopefully at my friend Marian’s place (although I should probably ask her about that first), and spend an evening telling tales. There’ll be no charge for this event. It’s my way of saying thank you for all that we’ve enjoyed together this year.
In January, I’ll be leading our first Mid-Winter Not-So-Secret WEEKEND Adventure. TENTATIVE dates are set for January 25-27, though that could change, and this will be a Level Two trip. Start saving for it now, because we won’t be camping this time. Instead, we’ll stay somewhere comfy cozy where we can get out and enjoy the best that nature has to offer at that beautiful time of the year. I used to think January was a time for hibernating, but that’s not really true. The sky is the BLUEST at that time of year, and you can see for miles and miles. Can’t wait? Me neither.
That’s enough for now, don’t you think?
I’ll tell you a little more about 2013 when it gets closer.
Some of you ALREADY know you want to get your name on the list for some of these events. I’ll always keep our group small, so we can enjoy each other’s company in a friendly but cozy environment. If you’d like to get a head start and claim a spot now, just let me know – sooner rather than later. :)
So how does all that sound? Like a whole batch of ways to stretch and grow your self confidence? Your own courage circle? Your life’s experience? If it sounds good, help out a sister by sharing this with her.
Which one sounds good to you? :)
