Life Is Hard Enough. Lighten Up a Little

Hey there,

Each day this month, I’m offering you 4 gifts: one image, one quote, one idea, and one thing you might want to try. I hope this helps while we’re in the middle of such a tough time.

ONE IMAGE

ONE QUOTE

“I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.”
― J.K. Rowling, in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

ONE IDEA

Oh good grief.

Sometimes, being good and kind and caring is exhausting, especially when it feels like the whole world’s falling apart. In fact, at a time like this it’s easy to develop something akin to compassion fatigue, and this is extra true if you’re deeply intuitive or empathic.

Which many of you, I know, ARE.

A good friend of mine recently experienced a real emotional low after making her first trip to the grocery store in weeks. It wasn’t until the next day that she realized it was energy, that she’d soaked up the fear she felt in the air as she passed one person or another in the almost empty aisles.

How you manage your energy right now is critical, and I encourage you to be selective. Focus on what you can do something about; let go of the things you can’t. Keep your energy up and your vibrations high, so you feel good.

And so you last. We’re running a marathon here…

ONE THING to TRY

What could you do, right here in the middle of the work week, that feels a little like guilty pleasure?

Watch a movie in the middle of the day (complete with microwave buttered popcorn)?

Sneak out of your home office to sit in the grass a while and watch things bloom around you (and maybe take a nap in the spring sun)?

Crank up a little FreeBird and dance in your kitchen?

Life is hard enough. Lighten up a little.
It will do you a world of good.

And be well,

P.S. I’d LOVE for you to post a photo on my Facebook page showing me what you do! You can find me at Facebook.com/WPRCoaching. See you there?
