It Is Your Story, and How You Write It Is Up to You

Hey Friend!

We all need a little inspiration to help us stay focused, stay engaged, and stay true to what matters – especially now, when it would be so easy to turn away from our business, and our dream.

Each day this month, I’m offering you 4 gifts: an image, a quote, an idea, and an action you might want to try, your 11:11.

Here is your 11:11 for today.

“It’s your story, babe. Feel free to hit ’em with a plot twist whenever you want.”

It IS your story, and how you write it is up to you.

Right now, in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, it’s easy to tell the story of struggle and fear. It’s easy to focus on the sale that didn’t happen, the event that got cancelled, the client who backed out at the last minute.

But it’s just as easy to tell a different story, one of connection, resilience, and hope. It’s just as easy to celebrate the client who said yes, the fact that you made your first video ever and it worked, or that you managed to pivot and serve someone in a brand new way.

What story are you telling your clients and customers? What story are you telling your family and friends?

Most importantly, what story are you telling yourself?

What you can do:

Be careful about the stories you let in right now. Limit your news intake to what you most need to know. Focus instead on the stories your clients are telling you about their lives and what they most need from you right now.

You may well hear something that prompts a new idea. You may decide that the way you’ve been working or what you’ve been offering doesn’t fit any more, because you have something even better you want to try.

What is that? I’m playing around with an idea for a new group I might want to offer. How about you?

Grab a pencil and sketch out some ideas. See what comes.

And be well,
